EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
I attended and received my bachelors degree from Troy University in Design, Technology & Industry with a minor in fine art. During my time in Alabama I worked in print, news, and sports. Afterward, I spent a year in Hattiesburg, Mississippi further developing my career as a multimedia designer in intercollegiate athletics. After moving to Knoxville, Tennessee and obtaining a Master's in Advertising (Go Vols!), I have since found my love for creative strategy, research, and still continue my work as a designer.
My work has won awards with the American Advertising Federation, Southeastern Journalism Conference, and Troy University. Additional work has been featured in publications and on billboards across Alabama, Mississippi, and Fort Worth, Texas, as well as the Blue Fever app (downloaded by tens of thousands of users!).
PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Being southern-raised through and through, I am an Atlanta Braves fanatic, and going to a game is my favorite day-cation activity. Living by the Smokies brings me so much happiness, I even got married in them! My husband and I reside in East Tennessee with our Heeler, Molly, and Heeler/Corgi mix, Sansa. In my free time I love to craft, draw, decorate, or kick back with the pups with a good show.
WHY I DESIGN
I am a huge advocate of mental health, social justice, and overall well-being and human rights. I love working with others in collaboration to achieve the "big picture" and creating work that makes a difference and gives happiness.
